NELA residents continued to Rock the Boulevard last month. At the second meeting in March of Rock the Boulevard, a public private partnership to improve Eagle Rock Blvd., some 60 residents broke into groups of 10. Each group was assigned a two-to-three block long stretch of the boulevard to rethink and redesign in terms of safety, usefulness and appearance. There was discussion about new and repaired sidewalks, brighter crosswalks, graceful medians, shade and better technology.
At the next meeting, on Thursday, April 26 at 7p.m. at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock, participants will create a design for the entire boulevard.
