Winter is coming and with it, the rain and cold that make living on the streets and in vehicles all the more difficult and dangerous. Councilmember Gil Cedillo and his staff are looking for suitable buildings in Council District 1 where homeless people can stay overnight in the winter. They are also looking for parking lots where people who live in their vehicles can safely park overnight. CD 1 includes all or most of Glassell Park, Highland Park, Montecito Heights, Mount Washington and many other nearby neighborhoods. If you think your church or facility qualifies for one or both of these uses, please email Jose.A.Rodriguez@lacity.org or call 323-550-1538.
